Default Needing more power.

I'm fairly new to this whole forum thing. I have a 07 GMC Sierra 1500 with a gen 3 5.3l I put a btr stage 3 truck cam kit in it with dual beehive springs hardened pushrods and retainers with trunion kit have a circle d 26-3200 stall and 3:73 gears at the moment. Stock tranny corvette servo and shift kit coming soon. I do not want to add a turbo yet but planning onto soon. the setup I have now is decent for me it's not enough..I wanna **** and get throw my head back into my seat. This is a dd truck. I'm just wanting everyone's opinion on could I get a bigger cam or stall different gears what type of cam would be best for going turbo soon heads..I just to make more power. I got beat by a fender on a stock 2015 single cab 5.7 dodge earlier...so pretty down about it. Anyway suggestions welcome.

How much do you want to spend? Easiest would be throw on a 100 shot nitrous kit.

I have to disagree with that. The converter he has in it now, is what should have been installed from the factory.

A high-stalling small diameter converter will make a huge difference in his truck.

As I look at your mod list... I see no mention of headers. Tell us more about the truck... NBS? NNBS? Regular cab? Ext? Crew? 2WD? 4WD? What size wheel and tire? To me it needs more gear right off the bat. I also agree that it could benefit from better heads and intake manifold if it doesn't already have 243/799 heads and a TBSS style intake manifold.

That RAM should be a mid to high 13 second truck - stock. Dragpac went 13.6 bone stock with his.

My bad yeah Iv got longtube headers and 243 heads. Nnbs regular cab 2wd 20" rims. the guy that tuned my truck went ahead and tuned it for 3:73s other people are telling me 4:10's would be better.

That's a fairly heavy truck then. Depending on your tire height, 4.30s might even be a better option. I'd have the converter loosened up too.

Gears alone will make that truck an entire different animal. Next, I'd be looking to get a bottle on it.

If it's still not enough for you, heads and more converter should do it.
