Exclamation Need torque!!!!!

I have an 07 NBS GMC Sierra Crew Z71 with a 5.3. I have already installed a K&N cold air and a single side exit Magnaflow exhaust. I am sure my next purchase will be a programmer or a custom tune from PCM's for less. Any suggestions on what brand of programmer's or a tune would be appreciated. I am not sure where to spend money next. I am not interested in changing the internals of the engine, or supercharging, or nitrous, or gearing. But I am willing to spend UP TO another $1,000 or so after the programmer or tune. If it was one of your vehicles, what would you buy. Thanks, Nick

Did you look at the sticky's? (the threads at the VERY top of each section that say stuff like "See this thread for Stickies FIRST"?
Stickies:
https://www.performancetrucks.net/fo...d.php?t=414374

Bolt Ons: "first mods to do" Says 99-06 but that's cuz it was created so long ago. Same rules still apply.

Do NOT buy a programmer and only get a tune from someone who knows what TRUCKS like. Sponsors here are extremely good tuners and I'd recommend them to anyone.

Welcome to PERFORMANCE TRUCKS.NET
Custom tune (as mentioned above) will net you ~30hp but will totally make the truck more enjoyable to drive. Other than that you pretty much set limits on what improvements are possible.

Welcome to PTnet Nick! You should introduce yourself in the New Members section, and post a pic or 2 of your truck.

As for the tune, you should consider buying HPTuners or EFI Live and then getting an e-mail tune for your truck. Then you can learn as you go, and make minor adjustments along the way.

Where are you located? That would help on the decision.
