Angry Need speed for my '04 5.3

I have a 2004 Ext. Cab LS currently with the AEM brute force intake, TB spacer, and a Gibson supertruck exhaust system. I also have 285/50R/20's on it. It runs great but my friend is pissing me off with his "HEMI SS/T". It is the regular hemi with a good hood functional hood, flowmaster exahaust,3.92 gears, tb spacer and he just got a hypertech programmer.

The thing is im tired of him braggin about this bc when we raced he beat me by 1/3 of a truck length.

Im ready to whoop him so what do i need to do. I really want Pacesetter long tubes but i dont know how hard the install would be or how expensive it would be to get put in. One thing i hate about my truck is when you punch it, it seems to bog down.

What to do....

what gear ratio do you have? A good stall would help you out with the "bog down". Pacesetters are good and not all that expensive, i would go for them. A NELSON tune would be the first mod I would do out of all of the ones mentioned. So, if you got a tune, stall, and the pacesetters - you would be walking all over that hemi and pretty much n e other hemi you'd meet on the street. But, if he only beat you by a 1/3, then I would think either the tune or the stall by themselves would give you the edge over your bud.

If you have had any experience turning wrenches at all, the install is pretty straight forward and easy. Little things like Valve covers and tranny lines are about the only things that can be a hassle.

I would remove the TB spacer and get a custom tune. It will also be quicker without the heavy wheel and tire combo.

"Torque Management" ain't it a bitch..LOL...Punched the air peddle in my truck when I first got it and thought I had threw it in Neutral..LOL...

All the feedback you recieved up till now is pretty much inline with what I would suggest as well..
