Default need some help with choosing cams

2004 silverado 5.3 2wd ec.. its pretty much a full bolt on with the bottle it has cai mid tube headers no cats diablo tune pullys e fan tranny has stage 5 shift kit and 1700 stall convertor with 5.13 gears wanna do heads cam and intake manifold what you guys think and those what with i have......

5:13 GEARS!!! lol those seem really big, and whats a 1700 stall. i think my stock converter stall that high?

lol yea i know its my buddys truck its on stocks right now but useually on 16 by 12 on 31 tire lol its the style around here... its pretty much a light to light in town kinda truck lol its fast out of the whole tell about 80 and its at 4grand... the stalls pretty much stock alittle bit higher not to much cause the gears so what you think on what kinda cam and who would you have port the heads???

Deeper gears would actually make a high stalling torque converter more "streetable". Does your buddy ever tow anything? If not, then I say look for a 3200+ stall so he can really haul *** from light to light.

As for the cam, the choices are endless. But with that mild converter you may want to lean towards a milder cam choice. EPS has some nice grinds, like their 214/220 and 218/226. One thing when ordering from EPS, is the wait is 4-8 weeks. So if you want to get the cam swap done rather soon, then you may want to look elsewhere.
