Need some assistance...SES light!!!
#1
Hey fellas, i'm back at it again...Ok so heres the scoop. Long story short...the SES light came on while driving, I took it to one of my buds that works at a chevy "stealership" and he brought out the TECH2 Scanner. He finds that my truck says, "Lean Bank 1+2", "Engine Coolant Temp Low!" What the Heeeeeelllllll is going on, there is no sign of any engine failure besides this damn SES and the codes, no spudders, no rough starts or take offs!!?? Any suggestions!!!
So far I've:
fixed an exhaust leak, ( but didnt change my o2 sensors)
checked the fuel filter, no clogs!
I tried pressing the fuel injectors in further, (but didnt change the O rings, nor check them!!!)
tried spraying the whole intake with water and still no spudder or apparent leaks!!
Always use 93 octane
Just changed the oil and its always full synthetic!!
So what now...Thanks guys

since you are sure your exhaust leaks are fixed look at your o2 switch rate, make sure they are not lazy, you can induce an excessive rich or lean condition by popping off the line to the brake booster & spraying in some carb cleaner(should show rich)
what are your ltft's?
check your maf tables vs. actual airflow
look at the freeze frame records in your failure history & see what transpired when this occured, you can do this with the tech II, does it happen @ certain times such as high load application? when was the last time the failure occured?
find that out & report back, this is basic stuff you will need to know for diagnosing it correctly.

Thanks Cutter, I llok into it and see whats up. I'm checking the Granetelli MAFS for any crap stuck to it but nothing is apparent. I dont have any logging software available to me except their Tech2 Scann so ill see if he can pull up the history and find out what happened...It happened to throw the exact same codes as last time before i fixed the exhaust leak!! But now the SES light stays on so its been an on going problem i guess, I started to notice all this stuff after i did my homemade catch can, I took the intake manifold off to clean all excess crap and then installed everything back on...I checked the injectors cause i notice that i could see some metal still showing on two of the injectors, I pressed them in further so that the thick black plastic ring is all that shows!!! Damnit I need that EFI cable so i can log this stuff and see whats going on. Where the hell are Banks 1+2 anyway and or what are they. i was thinking it was talking about cylinder 1 + 2 but i dont know!!! But what i need to know i guess is will the SES light go off by itself once the problem is solved or will i have to reset the computer again!!!! Thanks again guys
Hey if someone will let me borrow there EFI Live cable for a day or two i can get this up online so we can all see whats up!!! I'll even fork over some money for the borrow and will return it first day overnight. Thanks all

no they are they blue ones, I have pushed these to 7200 rpms on the bottle all day long. never had a lick of trouble out them. I keep hearing people say I am pushing them with this new cam set-up but they feel awesome!

I am impressed,I have the blue ones and they have been flawless and quiet.I have always toyed with the idea of a bigger cam,say 220/560.Had i done that I would have went with LS6 yellows. Now you have me thinking.I am a believer in GM springs if its not a ton of lift and not a lot of RPMs,hell look at your luck.
I spin to 6K,and do it alot,6K is nothing for these motors, maybe thats why mine has lived.
