Ok guys... have a few questions..

Ive been reading for about 3 days now trying to figure out what cam I should get for my truck.. I believe i have it narrowed down to 2 cams

1) Tr220 on 112 or 114 lsa
2) ENG-XR269HR-Comp Cam-216/220-.525/.532 (Im guessing 114 lsa on this one??? )

I am looking for something that makes good power, has a nice lope to it, but is still streetable.. My truck isnt exactly a daily driver, but I do drive it quite a bit.. I had a tci 3000 converter but it went as did my transmission so I am back to stock as of now.. I plan on purchasing a fuddle hd truck 3000 as I do tow a boat from time to time (4000lb boat about 3 miles each way)..

My current mods are..
99 5.3L ecsb
02 pcm with nelson tune
Magnaflow catback
4.10 gears with Detroit True Trac ..

Any help you guys could give me will be appreicated...

IMO a TR220 on a 114 lsa should be good for what you want.... you'd need that stall back though

to silver-mod-o. The tr220 makes really good power on the 5.3's from what I've seen. Bluecajun made 340 to the rear wheels with that cam on a 112 lsa with a few other mods. I think it would be a good choice.

 

Well I Have Made 338hp At The Wheels With My 5.3 With The 216/220 I Was Able To Put Down A 1.64 60' And A 12.59 Both Cam R Good I Have Installed The Tr220 But It Was The 114. Both Cam R Close For As Performance And Streetable.i Would Go With The 114. Also They Both Will Have A Noticable Lope At Idle,i Think Real U Can Go Wrong With Either Way U Go
