Talking Need Shift Times On The 4l80's.

ok now. what are your shift times set to on the trannies. are you running altered ones or are they the stock settings. also what are the prssure settings at. i see that the factory settings on an 80e are at 0.350. i know i shouldnt go over 90 psi on the pressure. i was going to start it at 15 and go to 90 at the top.

Set them to .200 all the way across. This table isn't really used that I can tell, or it doesn't make a difference in the shift at least. The only use that I can come up with is it's used to judge a slipping tranny, meaning the shift should complete in the given time, otherwise it may be faulty.

Just shooting in the dark, but I know it makes no difference on shift firmness.

I don't think there are even any ill effects of putting them to 0. Honestly, I don't think it's used at all. I saw an arguement about that table in either the trans forum or PCM forum, can't remember. One guy was saying that setting them to 0 would burnup a trans cause it was making them attempt to shift to hard/quick. When asked for proof or experience, there was none. Others said what I thought too. I guess that's where I got that from.
