Default Need a little LQ4 Advice

Ok so I have a 2000 LQ4 and I need some help with the flexplate to torque converter matchup. I read somewhere on performancetrucks that someone mateing to a 4L60E had issues but then flipped the flexplate and it has worked fine. I would like to do the same because it seems to be the cheapest way. So my questions are has anyone else done this? How long did it work for? Is it still together? Which flexplate was used? LS to 60E? Or some application like it? Had I known about the extra 3/8" beforehand or so I would have gotten a engine a year newer.
Someone please help me with this cuz I kinda runnin' out of ideas.

Did you try PM'ing the guy who did it?

Personally, I think it's a disaster waiting to happen. I would rather do it right the first time than get stuck on the side of the road when it fails.
