Default need help quick

i have a 2000 silverado with a 5.3 in it and i just found a good deal on a ls2 cam, lifters and pushrods, what all needs to be done to make this swamp happen,

You would have to change your timing cover to to the LS2 style with the cam sensor in the cover, as the LS2 cam wont have the reluctor ring on it for the factory cam sensor in your truck. If you want to go with a stock cam that is larger than the 5.3 cam, an 02+ LS6 cam is very similar to the LS2, with a bit more exhaust duration and lift, but would retain the use of your factory cam sensor.
