Default Need Help please, KB install...

I am not sure what year trucks have this but mine does and its a 04. On the passenger side valve cover, at the front part of the cover near the fan there is a metal tube on top. This tube connects to the intake right behind the throttle body. Anyway my Kenne Bell instructions say nothing about it. Now when you swap the valve covers you now have the tube on the drivers side next to the fire wall. What is everyone with KB's doing with this? I am assuming that it is a breather... I was just thinking of plugging the end on the manifold and adding a filter to the metal tube on the valve cover. Someone please help. I have it circled in the picture's attached. The vavle covers are already switched over and i just want to know what to do about that tube.....

I have it hooked up just like you are describing-the valve cover end has a filter and the other end is capped off. Works fine like that and keeps oil out of the throttle body too.

Those are both PCV hoses. Just adapt them to plug back into the same places they came from. You may need some extra hose, but it looks like you should be able to run those hoses. The service manual I have shows them both to be the PCV system. I don't know about just plugging them, though. I wouldn't.

umm. it looks as though you have the valve covers on the opposite sides than they belong. that metal tube goes on the passenger side and hooks to the tube on the front of the intake in the second pic.

Yes, I know that they are on the opposite sides. WHen you install the kenne bell or the whipple supercharger you have to take them off and switch sides. THis is neccesary becuase of the location of the supercharger. Basically it relocates your oil fill
