Default Need help with piston slap.....

I need help...From what i know and hear my 5.3 has piston slap but i dont know why or how to fix it...The knock i hear is only at idle and the truck runs fine other wise..Drove it to Tampa,Fl got 21mpg burned very little oil if any at all
i do drive it very hard but have never missed a tune up or oil change it only has 55,000 miles .......Please if anyone knows its you Guys....

are you sure it is piston slap? these motors are noisy anyway. i wouldn't sweat it unless it gets worse.

Engine noise is very common on these trucks. I have seen trucks with 100k+ with piston slap and have never had any issues and still very hard. I would not warry about it.

Thanx guys...i know its just me but if freaks me out anyway....i have plans for this motor and i dont need troubles so early in the game....
