Its an 03 - I verified it by the different head bolt lengths and VIN that the junkyard provided me. Here is the thing - I ran the VIN and the 6.0 had 223k on the odometer!!!

I am trying to get a refund now - but what a total mess. I am glad I found out, or I would have been installing a tired 6.0 that was advertised as having 68k on clock.

Maybe he had it replaced at 165k and then wrecked it 68k later?

My 06 LQ4 came out of a truck so badly destroyed we couldn't get mileage or VIN off the truck. Most of the body was GONE. Grabbed a bore scope and started probing. Glad I grabbed it, it is spotless on the inside. Pulled a spark plug and looked inside and it looks like a new motor.

Saying that to say this, find a bore scope. Have a look inside.

Nope, they said it was a mistake... And they want me to wait 2 weeks to find a new motor. I said just give me a refund.. I dont trust them and I feel bad for everyone else they are doing this to.

I would have had to do that is he didnt come clean... Oh well I guess.

On a side note, I found an LQ9 and going to pick it up tomorrow. Appears to be out of an 02 Escalade, Looks good, hone marks still in the cylinder and flat top pistons. Cant beat $600 either...
