Goals, what are they?

Like horsepower goals, drive ability, do you want to run a stall converter and that kinda of stuff.

There are tons of off the shelf cams it just depends on your wants. Be very descriptive.

So you have no horsepower goal and what about a stall converter?

We can give you answers but you gotta at least give us something to work from.

There is a TON of crap to think about here, you don't just slap a camshaft in there. You need to plan everything. Think even beyond the cam because you will need an upgraded fuel system, large injectors, your stock 4L60e is weak junk and will explode so plan to upgrade that. Rear end needs beefing up and your gear choice can also play into what you pick for cam size and stall.

No playing around when you are about to spend maybe $5,000-8,000 in upgrades.

400hp? Crank or wheel?

If you’re aiming for that NA, that’s going to be hard to do.

As for a cam, don’t overcam it. I see a lot of stuff on FB where guys overcam the **** out of 4.8/5.3’s only to be disappointed.

The more duration a cam has, the higher you have to rev it to make power.

The offset is playing with the LSA. The lower the LSA, the sooner it makes power in the rpm range.

Pat Guerra will spec out a cam for $25. There is a detailed questionnaire.

Well my plan is to cam it right now save up
for a super charger but without redoing that internal work all over that’s why I want search around for the cam so I could runNA then install it once I save enough for the jon bond supercharger
