Default Need help ASAP

driving around today, my truck died on me.
I pulled over to the side of the road into a parking lot, and after about 5 min of playing with it, it finally started.
got home, started cleaning the engine bay, stated the truck up to warm up the motor, and while it was idling it died again, now It wont turn over. it will crank but want start,
anyhelp here?

need to get it going ASAP, before the wife gets home and things I was installing something else on it and broke it.

Try checking the battery connections, grounds mostly cause problems like you state. friend of mine had a broken ground cable and truck would run for a while and kill, then start right back up and run bad.. Grounds cause lots of problems.

well I will try that.
I just got it to restart and then it ran for about 30 seconds and then it died again.
do you think it might be the fuel pump?

It sounds like a fuel pump,it's not that hard to change if you have rack to put the truck up to drop the fuel tank, the pump assembly comes out the top of the tank.

well I disconnected the battery and then reconnected it, and it started right up, but now I have a code thrown and it seems to miss every once and awhile when you get on it.
I am willing to bet I either got some bad gas or the fuel pump is going out.

i was gonna say put gas in it! as a joke. but it does sound like a fuel pump. does it make the primeing noise when you turn the key to on but not start it? if it isn't then that would be a clear sign thats the culprit.

Ususally when a fuel pump goes...it goes totally. It may be a fuel pump, but usually they won't surge like that. I'm betting its ignition related.
