I've installed new heads and did the trunnion upgrade. My question is the rocker arm cradle does not sit flush on the new hands, can I just cut the part that is keeping the cradles from sitting flush on the heads. Please help thanks.

My first inclination is to say yes, trim the rocker stands to fit. But it might be worth a quick call to the manufacturer of the heads just to see what they have to say.

Whose heads are you using?

That's what I was thinking. But trying to stay up late to top it off. They are RHS225 heads.

I would be inclined to agree with AKlowriderZ71.

Without knowing what head's you have and how they are set up it's hard to say for sure.

The heads are straight out the box with GM MLS gaskets, tsp 7.4 pushrods, and factory rocker arms.

I'd mod the rocker stands to fit, then assemble everything in mock up. Verify pushrod length. Then check the wipe pattern on the stem. If it's all good, you're done. If not, correct the valvetrain geometry.

Should be okay unless those heads were designed to use screw in studs, or something unique.

After looking them up, I would say you need to trim the tabs that hang down as the rocker area's of the head are reinforced.

No they were not set up for anything unique. My friend had them installed on his 6.0 with a cam from TSP. Heads have about 1200 miles on them. He had other plans so he sold me the heads.
