Default Need Exhaust Help with 02 6.0L...

Hey,

I have a 2002 Chevy Silverado 2500LS NON Heavy Duty. It has the 6.0L with 4WD, auto transmission. It is an exended cab, shortbed. I recently bought a Dnatech SuperMaxx header system for it. I went to install it today, and the headers themselves fit perfect. However, when the mid pipes go back after the cats, they are far to short to reach to my stock catback, about a foot and half.

Everywhere I look, no one lists a catback system for my particular truck. They have them for HDs, and 1500s, but no 2500s with the 6.0L.

What I'm wondering is, if I order a catback for an HD, will it fit my frame, and also bolt to my headers? Does anyone know what catback I could use? I don't see any specific headers for my truck either, it just lists the ones I have for all 00-03 6.0L GM. My Dynatech part # is 115-841350.

Please Help!!!

Thanks

You might need a catback that fits an SS or similar truck. At the point where it connects to the catback, do the dynatech pipes have a flange on the passenger side and slip fit connection on the drivers pipe? Are they 2.5" pipes?

Yes do and yes they are. My stock catback has the right connections as well, it's just that the mid pipes that came with the Dynatechs are about a foot and a half shorter than they need to be.

Thanks

Could you do me a HUGE favor and measure the distance between your trans crossmember (not the transfer case) and the beginning of the catback? I would imagine our crossmembers would be in the same spot. With this distance, I could tell if your catback is different from mine and if a new one for an SS would work for me.
