Default Need exhaust advice please.

hey yall, i have lost my bottom end(power) on my truck due to having long tubes, no cats, no muffler, with dual 3" pipe. I want my power back! What do yall think i should do for the best results? I was thinking about a single 3" catback with a magnaflow muffler. Please help exhaust experts!!!!!!

2 1/4 or 2 1/2 single pipe, Magnaflow muffler. That 5.3 doesn't need 3" of dual pipe until your running about 15psi of boost.

You need a crossover if you're going with duals. If you're going with duals get 2.25" with an x-pipe or a single 3". Oh, and mufflers definitely, either Magnaflow like 1slowhoe suggested or Hooker Aerochambers.

The X pipe would help a lot and the magnaflow mufflers are great, I think you would like the smaller duals better that a single 3'' (better sound) but its up to you and how much you want to spend.

Just run a 3" Y-pipe and a single 3" exhaust... it will respond very well through all RPM's and get you that bottom back.

beast, that helped your truck a lot? i might should do 2.5 inch to a muffler then. Does your truck still do good on mid-range to top end?
