Default Need advice for a cam...

I have an 02 Z71 Avalanche that is mostly used on the sand dunes and off road trails. I'm looking to get a little more out of the motor with a new cam and need advice for what will better suit my truck. At the end of this month the truck will have:
GMPP CAI
Pacesetter long tube headers with 3" y pipe
3" Flowmaster 40 series catback
2500 stall converter with trans go shift kit
Snow Performance GM MAF methanol injection kit

From there the truck will get the cam, springs, push rods, and a dyno tune from Livernois Motorsports. They have suggested 2 different cams for the truck:
L92 stage 1
224/230@.050 .581/.590 lift LSA114

L92 stage 1c
218/229@.050 .600/.600 lift LSA117.5

I am now turning to the forums for opinions and insight on what cam to go with. I know there are more to choose from other than these 2, so please throw in your 2 cents.

Thank you

Also I want a cam that has some nice lope to it that way it is known that there is a cam in the truck. The shop said that the stage 1c will sound like stock, and I dont want that. I like to turn heads!

Both of those are large cams for a 5.3 and your 2500 stall, especially if you are wanting to use your truck for sand dunes and off road. You would be pushing your power band too high.

With that stall and your usage in mind, you probably wouldn't want to exceed what Comp's 212/218 low lift (or possibly their 216/220) would offer. Get a 112 LSA for lope and additional low-end power benefits. Neither will sound stock through your LTs, and the Flowmaster 40s are only going to scream even louder.

I have changed my mind on the stall and will be getting a 3200-3600. Here is a link to one I found on ebay.

At Livernois they have a LS series cam:
224/224@.050
.568/.568 lift
LSA 114

Would that work out for me?
