Yes, and most likely.

220 is probably too much for a 4.8, unless you want to get a 3600-4K converter

i would go with a smaller cam so it will work with the stock converter and have it cut on like a 115 lsa with less duration so it will idle smooth. maybe something around the ls6 cam or custom grind. but then again, who really needs a warranty lol. i paid for one, modded my truck extensively, the warranty expired and i never needed it.

Those cams are too big for a 4.8 with stock converter and you will definately be able to tell its cammed so = no warranty. otherwise you could run a tr220 but your gonna want at least a 3600ish verter to go with it

Screw the warranty. Enjoy your truck. If you wanted power and the warranty you should have gotten a bigger engine. Lmao.

if your worried about the warranty dont touch it, the newer model truck engine (AFM particularly) are rough on lifter and cams..... if you swap a cam, springs and then a lifter dies your screwed... plus the custom tune is gonna red flag if GM calls for the snapshot of the tune PN (usually only happens if your getting a new engine and that takes ALOT)

if your gonna swap a cam on the AFM or DOD trucks you need to buy new lifters and do the DOD delete as well. it would be stupid to run the stock lifters on the new motors.

And there's that too.. Or can buy dod friendly cams.... But it's still a bad idea for the truck motors
