Thats a legally binding contract. I'll pay for your gas, (one way only), and I'll have a nice big stack of bologna waiting for you.

All that duration will kill your bottom end trashing your gas mileage and forcing you to spin up the motor to make it move.

If you have a 6.0 go thru it add a cam and swap it in. Don't waste your time with that 4.8 unless it's getting some boost.

I want to. I just expect that to be $3-$5K minimum. I know I'll be adding cam and heads, will need a different crank, new clutch kit.

I was going to probably have it done by now, but with how low the market dropped, I went and invested what I was going to use. I think If I give it a year or two, I can at least triple that and really be able to get the correct engine done right. I'm more or less getting impatient, and know I shouldn't even bother with this, but I honestly wouldn't mind learning on this engine.

You are over estimating that swap cost unless you are adding PRC/AFR heads. Considering your cam swap is going to be 60% of your gasket costs etc you really aren’t going to be spending that much.

A new crank can be had cheap unless going forged and even then it isn’t a wild cost. or just do the spacer/flywheel you need.

If you are dead set on the 4.8 then fine but you already have the biggest cost of the 6.0 swap which is the engine itself. There is a reason everyone in this thread is saying to go one direction and it’s because it is the right direction.

Maybe see if Novak's solution will help adapt the NV3500 to the early 6.0L crank. https://www.novak-adapt.com/knowledge/gm-crank-spacing. Can always cam the 6.0L and upgrade the heads later on.

I see a set of 220 PRC heads just popped up near me, and I'm tempted, but then they might sit here for what could be years.

I like the idea of that 3.86 crank, but honestly, I just don't have the budget to do what I want, and haven't even finished thinking this all through or learning what I need to. Swapping a 6.0 is easy to say, but I just honestly know it's going to take me weeks if not months to do compared to what somebody who knows what they are doing could do in days. I'll just say I'm a disabled veteran, and don't have anywhere near the stamina or ability to just do work like I used to. Even installing those Caltracs, I want to say was a 3 or 4 day event. If I install an unknown motor, (that I never even heard run), and then something happens, I'm screwed. I really would love to just have it done, but I want to have it rebuilt, if I don't just sell it and buy something different. Then when it's ready, I plan on having a decent bit of cash on hand so that I can get parts if I need em, and can see if I can find someone who wants to help when I get stuck, or is willing to come help for a day to get a good portion done. It's a little annoying, but it's the right decision. A cam kit won't be that bad. The summit ones are about $500.
