Default My exhaust vid...

Couple people have been looking for a sound clip of gutted cats and Corsa kit...here ya go! I also have ASM long tubes and the Radix, for whatever that's worth. I did take a full-length video of the drive all the way from my house down the street and back into the garage, with two WOT runs from a slow roll up to about 65 or so, but for whatever reason it cut off where it did. I dunno. Anyway, it's pretty freakin loud. Louder than it is fast, for now anyway....

The camera records video in DVD format, and the only way I know how to compress the DVD file (32 mb) is to encode it into DivX format....for those of you who have DivX, no problem, for those who don't, here's the setup file

***Video***

Here's a pic of the little rig I set up to take the video too. Gotta love those ratcheting cargo straps!

Default I Had To Let A Friend Do A Drive By...

...to appreciate what was going on outside the truck at WOT.
Even with a Touring (With Cats) it sounds aggressive. A Hyper\Throaty sound.
The first Corsa I heard was a Sport Dual rear exit. I hated it. A raspy poppy noise it was. I would not have it. Then we drove the Touring side exit. Much better to me.
So if any of you are shopping around and demo a dual rear exit, do not confuse the sound with the side exit units. The sound differences are worlds apart.

Hey now it's not illegal till you get caught

I am feeling more and more of an increase, I think it might be like getting a new PCM where you have to drive it for a couple hundred miles or so to let the LTF table re-adjust. I have had a couple people tell me that gutting the cats will make it run rich, so I think the PCM might be starting to bring that back under control. Some people have said that they lost a little low end but gained it back top-end. My butt-o-meter says it's got more power through the entire RPM range, particularly at part-throttle. WOT feels about the same as it did before. I'm pretty sure my gas mileage has gone up too...haven't gone through a full tank yet though so I can't be sure.

I can't even hear the s/c whine anymore! That's the only disappointment, but it's for a good cause....

Nice. Sounds very close to mine (AS&M's, No cats, and Corsa). When I gutted the cats, I recorderd a few sound clips with the cats and corsa, open headers , and then the Corsa without cats, but the video section doesn't host wav files.

It's much louder while on the throttle, with a bit of drone, but that all does away once you get cruising.

Kudos on the camera setup.
