Zippy, what did you do to tune it exactly? What's your target AFR while cruising and at WOT?
Here ya go Todd, "how to tune and run your truck on E85"

Right now my tune is the same for gas and E85. I haven't taken the time yet to retune it. My truck is factory a flex fuel option though (I ordered it that way). The factory sets the cruise AFR at 9.00220:1 for E85. I haven't ran a wideband on it yet with the E85 though either.

Yes, tuning is pretty much all you need to do. Although you should probably up your injector sizes because you will be adding about 20-40% more fuel compared to gasoline and we already push the envelope in regards to IDC.

Only real difference that I know of is the fuel composition sensor and the extra tables in the PCM. As for how to tune with it not being a factory flex fuel, read the link Runn wrote, that I posted.

It really depends on if you are going for making it run on E85 or actually making it flex fuel. Flex fuel means it can run on gas or E85 and change the settings on it's own. Making it flex fuel will take some work. Making the truck run on E85 won't take very much work.

9.0:1 Yikes! That means you'll be burning 63% more of it cruising than gasoline! Has anyone here run it with any type of FI?

I think I might use this as a form of race gas or something. It just doesn't seem cost effective at the moment.

See if you can get your hands on some Toluene for the low. It's like 115 octane

55 gallon drums are sold at paint wholesale places. Not sure how much, though.

That gas prices place isn't entirely true. Wynne Arkansas isn't the only pump. We have one here right outside Helena, Arkansas and the price was 2.489 on May 22nd compared to our local 3.09 regular unleaded. I will continue to use e85 simply because I don't want to support the whole oil thing. Perhaps if I support the corn growers, it will encourage more people to jump on the bandwagon and start producing more ethanol plants. We need something other than oil. Not trying to be a conservationist, but really, our supplies are runnin out. Plus, we some corn-fed folks in arkansas, so why not run our cars off it? lol. What milage is everyone else gettin?

Todd, you NEED to do this! For at least a couple tanks, see how it works out. I would, but the closes E85 to me is 60 miles away .
