My dual electric fan set up.
In case anyone is interested in my fans set up, here is a pic. All in all it only cost about $225. Thats alot better than paying $400-$500 for just the fans. Plus these flow about 5900 CFM! Its 2-14" High Performance fans, Perma-Cool wiring harness and temp sensor and a 30 amp relay. Only took about 45 minutes to install. The hardest part of the install was pushing those nylon fasteners throught the radiator fins. Needs a little clean up, but its basically a finished product. If you have any questions, ask away.

5900cfm! Damn that may mess up my heavily gel'd + hairspray hair! You need wire looms...but as you said cleanup is imminent.
I bet you have a pretty nice low end off idle gain with those gone! Cool.

Re: My dual electric fan set up.
I did this exact setup on my '98 and it did'nt keep up with the cooling needs during the long idle in traffic during the hottest days of the summer here. The engine temps would creep up over 200. It may be because there is no shroud around them. I did'nt try using the stock shroud, just put the stock fan back on. Maybe something to try if you notice it getting hot....

It has done wonders. it seems to keep things really cool. I pulled a 28' camper this weekend with it and kept things under 200.
