thanks kinda figured it was in the tune... and its got 3.73's

Correct me if Im wrong boys,the L33 5.3 HO truck only comes with 3.42 or 4:10s,I would bet you have the taller of the two.

that's correct. the 5.3L H.O. only came in extended cab 4x4's and only with a 3.42 or 4.10 gear. the off idle performance or lack there of can be fixed.

i had a problem like this. i solved it by turning off the A/C.

how is that a problem? the a/c turns off at wide open.

that describes flooring it from a complete stop, which in my experience sucks when you have a/c on full blast. when you have a/c off, you take off much quicker. i dont know if a/c clutch disengages at WOT, but even if it does, i feel a significant boost in power when i have the a/c off and i floor it from a roll.

and i guess im wrong on the gears in my bucket its prolly 3.42's then... oh well guess i need to get some tuning on the other Z

check your code in the glovebox
GU6=3.42
GT5=4.10


I think 3.42 code is right.
