Alright guys,
I finally just got my y-pipe ordered as i am buying it off bluecajun. I already have the headers so now all i need to do is install it all when the y-pipe gets here. I have a dynomax bullet on my truck right now and i bought a hooker aerochamber off ap2002 that i have sitting in my garage. I was planning to use the 3" in/out aerochamber with the headers and y-pipe and use a turndown but i want to make sure i look at all my options before i have it installed. Im trying to decide if i should just run a loud muffler and keep it like that all the time or if i should run a more quiet muffler and just get a cutout for when i really wanna open it up and make some noise but also have the option to close it and be low profile. What do yall think?
For the mufflers, im considering magnaflow, borla or the aerochamber. Im also trying to decide between dumping it before the axel like i normally do, dumping it over the axel to avoid any resonation in the cab or using the corsa tip and bringing it out the side in front if the tire?
I like the spintechs but they are a little too raspy for me and my bullet will drone without cats so those are both out of the question. I like the corsa but it is also raspy and i cant justify spending $800 on a catback. I want something that will be deep and aggressive and decently loud but with as little drone as possible. Something in a stainless case would be nice also as it will be much more durable and look much nicer under the truck but its not a must.
Let me know what yall think i should do as far as muffler and tail pipe goes. Thanks!!

if your still running stock exaust tubing to the rear, then you can go with a single in/out 3" aerochamber. that's what i'm running right now. it bolts right up to the pacesetter ory 2 bolt flange. i have mine dumped after the axle. its loud when accelerating or when the converter flashes, but on the interstate, it's quieter than a dumped flowmaster w/ cats. since your crewcab exaust is longer you can dump it b/f the axle. just my .02...
