Muffler? Magnaflow,Flowmaster....
#1
I am in the middle of the 4.8 buildup and I need some help chooseing a muffler. I already have a 3" QTP cutout to go on and now all i need is a muffler. But I cant have anything to load bc there is a noise ordinance that I have to pass when I go to get a inspection sticker. I am looking at a Magnaflow 3"in/3"out single pipe. I like it because it is stainless. But how load do you think it will be????? I also still have the stock muffler but I would rather have something that will sound good. Any suggestions????

I know some will disagree, but I switched back to Flowmaster Deltaflow 40 series from a Spintech. I haven't noticed any change in performance, and the deep, throaty sound is just awesome.

Hookeer's seem to be known for thier flow. They are quiet at idle, but have a nice rumble at low throttle, and scream when you open it up.
They will hide a lope, unless you listen for it closely.

Here's some clips:
Through the muffs dumped in front of the axle. Mic is right next to rear wheel on the exhaust side.

This is through the cut outs, same setup, but cut outs open. It will show you a good comparison for how much they quiet it down. Mic is in the same spot.
