Default Muffler help! Cam, long tubes o/r y pipe 6.2

We just finished my 2013 silverado with a 6.2.

It has a decent cam. 2700 stall, American racing long tubes and an off road y pipe.

I installed a 20" magnaflow race muffler it's 3.5 in and out 6" round body. Dumped at the axle

It sounds good at idle and not horrible cruising. But any acceleration and its crazy loud and annoying.

So what I'm curious what are y'all running with this type setup? Is there anything that will keep an open idle sound so you can still really here the cam
But not make you deaf when driving?

I've looked at 4" in an out diesel muffler 30" long. 8" round body. Maybe this would still be loud at idle but muffle the sound under acceleration?

Any suggestions? Thanks guys

I had same problem with a single dumped muffler, I now have true duals, x pipe, and two dumped mufflers. Fixed!

I'd like to do the true dual but just bought this setup.

Anyone have pictures of a true dual setup?

American racing long tubes, Offroad y pipe and. 20" magnaflow race muffler. It's way to loud when rolling on the throttle. Idle and cruising not bad at all

I would add a small muffler over the rearend like the 6.2 exhaust. You can use a bullet muffler.

Just installed a Borla xr1 3.5" in and out...all stainless 3.5" with ARH...it's 24" long and 6" round...this thing holds the exhaust down a hell of a lot more than my brothers cammed 5.3 and magnaflow!! Barely noticeable at idle speeds...at about 3000 rpms it gets a little loud, but nowhere near as loud as my bros...no drone at all at hwy speeds unless you get up to about 78 mph...

ive looked at all kinds of setups. i realy want this truck to be loud at idle. But not poppy when driving.

still havent found anything. Considering going to the 4" diesel muffler or just ging to a 3.5" straight through oval muffler that is short

any more feed back woud be great. trying to avoid a cutout.

Add a dynomax bullet up front or a glasspack that will calm it down a bit.
