I have a 99 silverado LS 5.3L. Trying to figure out what muffler I should look for. I am looking for a muffler that will give a loud sound and a nice rumble at idle. Any suggestions?

 

I've had Magnaflow and Borla, I like the sound of the Borla the best. But they are both quality mufflers.

 

What's the model of the magnaflow?

 

I would recommend a smallish magnaflow. Something like a 14" oval body if you have no cats or a 14" round body if you have stock cats.

 

Corsa is the ****... Just sayin

 

I have the Magnaflow system on my truck and love it. It is moderately aggressive. Perfect for loafing around town or daily commuting. Kind of annoying when on 12 hour trips or towing. Not over the top, though. It is a good balance of sound but not too noisy.

I loved my Corsa When I was Stock Manifolds and Cats , However after the Longtubes and ORY it sounds Redneckish. Picked up a Dynomax Bullet to put In front of The Corsa to try and Clean up the sound a Bit. The Craven Mufflers sound pretty good as Well as the Jones Exhaust.
