I had a friend who bought a set for a heavily modded 1998 Camaro that he bought from me and as soon as he installed the MSD coils, it had a miss and flashed a code. When we checked it out, one of the MSD coils was dead out of the box. The stock coils are made by Denso, I beleive (or used to be), so they're pretty damn good. I would say save your money and invest in a good set of plug wires like the Granatellis. I've seen guys running in 8's and 9 's with turbos at the LSX Nat's with stock coils!

I put an MSD coil on my LT1 powered 91 gmc 10 yrs ago and discovered what MSD means.....May Suddenly Die ! There's nothing wrong with GM coils.
