Default Is this motor toast?

Clank and a miss. I had a miss and changed plugs, wires, map and intake gaskets with no change. Oil psi seems fine, 35psi warm idle and 50 cruise. Thoughts?

Everyone is thinking afm lifter failure. But wouldnt it be constant? Its a intermitent miss with a knock. I swear it sounds like detonation, which would be odd

I listened to the video on my home theater because laptop speakers suck. The sound of your exhaust shakes my entire house. Would it be possible to install a muffler so I could turn the volume up?
Does the miss that I couldn't perceive come at the same time as the sound of the tap?

sorry man! Its so hard to hear in the video. I get a misfire and then it sounds like a rock bouncing around in the block.

does your computer tell which cylinder is misfiring? if so, move some coils around and see if the misfire changes holes.

Its hard to tell. Plugs looked great, and its not a constant tap/tick/knock. It stumbles and what to me sounds like spark knock. I’ll tear into it soon Ive just got alot going on so its parked. Should I even bother trying new coils? It does have 230k on it

I had a LS2 that was running odd randomly. It ended up being a broken inside spring on my dual springs. Still cannot listen to your video. Just something to consider.

Changed intake gasket, plugs and wires, map sensor, cleaned maf, etc. Still has a bad stumble and “ clank” noise, but the noise only happens when it stumbles. I pulled the valve covers. All rockers are tight and open/close just fine. Checking the coils with a multi Im showing 6 are bad? I did have the truck in Az for 12 years.
