Default Which motor is in the Escalade

I was just wonder if the 6.0 that is in a escalade is the lq9 345hp version? If so what head casting comes on them? Also what is the compression ratio? Thanks

I thought all escalades had 6L 2wd=lq4 awd=lq9 because the base model escalades have more than 285hp or the newer model 5.3's with 295 or 310.

You cant see the 6.0 stamp with all the accessories on and the engine in the truck. Look for 317 head castings, thats how you will know. On the passenger side head on the front corner. The LQ9 has 10.1:1 comp. Hard to tell which motor is which really. Unless you have x-ray vision and can see the tops of the pistons through the heads.

You can get an Escalade with a 5.3L, it comes with 295 HP and a 4l60e tranny. The AWD version has a HO 6.0L which is 345 HP. Also, any 6.0L with 345 HP is going to be a HO (LQ9). The LQ4 (which is the "regular" 6.0L) has 300 HP. Also, none of the Escalades have the HD (4l80e) tranny. The AWD versions come with a 4l65e, which I guess could be called HD in comparison to the 4l60e.
