Default More power please...

I am a newbie looking to increase the performance in my 02 5.3L. It is a daily driver but also my tow vehicle. I would like to get better towing performance as well as overall street performance. Where do you suggest I start? I have a throttle body spacer, K&N replacement filter, and a flowmaster already installed. Thanks

some sort of pcm enhancement, either a handheld like the Predator, Crane/Vinci, or something like that. Or.....you could go the way of a mail order tune from any of out sponsers, Waitforme;Nelson, etc. Or do it all by getting HP Tuners, or EFI Live. Any way you look at it, there LOTS to be gained in tuning.

Haven't gotten to the budget yet - just getting a feel for what's out there. I prefer to keep it modest. Once I find a starting point I'll have a better idea.

I'm thinking he meant to write "CAI" meaning cold air intake, putting an aftermarket air intake manifold on, such as K&N

What kind of weight are ya pulling? Sometimes better towing and better street performance conflict each other.

Everything I have in my sig marginally helped both performance and towing ability (I tow 5400#+ on weekends).

If ya got money to burn, just slap a radix and built tranny in, and call it done!
