Default More Power

Well i have a 01 ecsb silverado, but i need more power. I lost my first race to an imprt the other day and i am bummed!!!!

I have an air-raid intake, ported throttle body, throttle body spacer, 8.5mm plug wires, JBA header, Flowmaster exhaust, hypertech programmed, eaton posi with 3:73 gears. I am running 265 35 22 pirellis. I now these are super heavy, but i will change them to aluminum shortly to get some of the weight off. I get good traction with a four link, panhard bar and cantilever kit out back too.

I want to get a cam, lifters, springs and rockers.
Any suggestions on the above?

i would go with a converter or nitrous along with adding an underdrive pulley and efans. what are you running in the quarter with those wheels? i think your wheels are whats getting you traction and not the rear suspension! however, that suspension will help when you start making some serious power. if you go the cam route, for cheap go with the ls1 cam from 00. otherwise, call comp or thunder racing. hope i helped some.

Go power adder and a decent sized stall converter. Wait to dump the rims, see if your traction is limited first.

Had to be. What are those things throwing out stock, like 55 hp? And thats at the mill not accounting for any parasidic loss.

The bigger the tires the higher the gears should be??

Let me know if this is not true, somebody?

That is true. The gears will act numericly lower which are really higher.
For ex.(not mathematically correct) if you go from a 28" tall tire all around to a 31" tall tire, your truck will act like it has 3.42's instead of 3.73's.
