I know that More Performance valve spring tool is the best, but man its 129.00. I am only going to use it one time. My friend builds motors on the side and he has some very equalally good valve spring compressors. He told me that he has them for a standard small block and big blocks. He told me that he is uncertain if the 3 gen. LS1 motors could use the the same valve spring tool and the 1st gen. I have seen some use the cheep autozone type valve spring bar but I dont want to risk breaking a stud. Would the 1gen standard type small block valve spring compressor work for LS1 type motors?
