misfires without codes?

If your using your 02's they can go bad without throwing a code and you'll get horrible mileage but you'll notice really bad AFR's on your wideband (Assuming you have one).

When one of mine messed up It would sputter trying to give it some throttle but if i went WOT it would clear up.

Could you please tell me how to disable this in EFI live? As far as I knew, only HP tuners could do it?

Also, why does GM have it in the first place? Does it protect the AC compressor somehow?
