misfire

I couldnt take it anymore and took it to the dealership, The cure they came up with is ........this is catchy....."It's supose to be like that". I have to say if thats how my truck should run I would like to unload it and try something else only im to broke for now.

Did they charge for that outstanding analysis? Yeah,it's supposed to misfire on #6...new tehnology stuff that we're too dumb to understand.

No it was free, other than a waste of my time. I told the guy I had it scanned with a genisys scantool and it showed a misfire on #6. Then he says you have to use a gm scan tool or its probably wrong. What a looser. Then he tells me its the trans trying to engage, im like ya what the hell does a slipping trans have to do with a misfire?? give me the keys im outa here. I guess im screwed for now.

Why dont you pull the wire off of #6 and see if its firing. If no the try another wire, If its still not new coil. If it is firing pull the #6 injector and replace it.

I tryed unhooking the wire and changing the coil and the injector. Its a bit weird if you ask me, the cylinder would miss after so many revolutions but not every time. I think its the pcm with a bad injector driver but I guess that would throw a code. I might try and see if i can get it re scannned and check on the misfire situation.

If you have access to a tech 2 that would be a really good start. see how its pulsing. If not then you could have a loose wire (maby). I would check every thing over reallyt well and then think about getting a new ecm. You did say that compresion was good right?
