Default Milling cylinder heads for added compression

I am about to remove the heads on my 2008 5.3 aluminum flex fuel to install LS7 lifter kit/trays to remove the entire AFM/DOD system, using the LS3 valley cover.

Since my heads are coming off, is it worthwhile to have the heads milled for added compression? Will this cause any problems with quench area? I am willing to install shorter pushrods.

They are 243's.

If "yes" to milling them, how much?

I am planning to use factory GM gaskets, not Cometic. Cometics are too expensive.

TIA

.045 but stay away from nos,s/c,turbo if you do, should get you close to 11.1 compression.
