Default this might be a newb question...

ive done a little looking on the site (not a lot... i confess) and i cant find the information im looking for.

heres my delimma. i have an 05 v6 silverado. i love the truck... i hate the motor. lol. so were is a good place to find an affordable 5.7 or 6.0? any web sites? ive seen some ppl know were to find 6.0 engines for around 500 - 1000 bux... how do i find a deal like that? please help me out and lemme know the hints to finding a good deal on an engine. thanks

check local salvage yards, the classifides here, or even craigslist, and where bud stated

You just have to keep looking... I say like I always say, ebay.. I got mine 05 6.0 for like 1100 with super low miles(less then 20k)

I might add there is a good deal on a 77000 mile lq4 for 600 in baytown texas. I am picking up the 4l80 tranny that went with it today, I will see if he still has it

thanks for all the advice guys. im not looking to buy right now tho man. i got other bills and such. plus i just got the truck so i dont want to gut something im paying on still lol

i got one more newb question since im new to chevys and all this... (im a tuner kid at heart ) ... where do i find a standard transmission to bolt up to the 6.0? i have no idea were to begin to look for all this. lol thanks in advance

find urself a 4l80e there the best man id its too ecpensive go the 4l65e route but dont do to many mods or u will find urself rebuilding it like i did with my ls1 camaro
