Default Met Bob Lutz yesterday..

Im down in Los Angeles for our annual Fleet week for the federal government fleet vehicles and he was one of our guest speakers. I talked to him for a few minutes after he presented. He seems to be a true performance enthusiast. Everybody was asking questions, and when I asked him about the future of GM performance, I got his undivided attention. His favorite car is the 475hp caddy dts.

He also confirmed there will be a performance rear wheel drive sedan, cant say what exactly, but most know what im talking about. He said the rear wheel drive cars are coming back.

For us truck guys, there is not going to be a true performance truck anytime soon. He said the market is just too small.

It seems that all v8's are going to be coming with active fuel management, the 6 speed transmission, and variable valve timing in the future.

It's cool you got to me Bob Lutz though. If they really let him run the show GM might not be in the crapper as bad.

A heavy-*** sedan with 4 doors would be great, since they would sell, and I think GM needs to sell vehicles right now, right? Think 300C, Charger....I would certainly buy one.

The morons in Detroit can't see Chrysler's winning formula? Power, RWD or AWD, lots of room fore and aft, better aerodynamics than an SUV....this seems to be translating into sales. Hello? McFly?

So did the Camaro come up at all? Or was that what you were talking about?
That F-in sweet you were able to meet and speak with him... he's got to have one of the coolest jobs around.
