Messed up EGR mod?

Exclamation Messed up EGR mod?

I was doing the EGR mod, were you gut the excess pipe that sticks in intake. But when i cut it off i must of cut too much off and have a little air leak there now so idle is rea rough all other rpms are fine would it be okay if i just bloked off the intake whole with somthing or should i try and patch that little whole, help quick please im in the thought process of trying to figure out what to do since i need the truck tomorrow. Isn't there an o ring on there too? Sorry been awhile since I did mine. If there is, just make sure its seated properly. How far did you cut the pipe up too? Did you cut into the cone part?

Yes i nicked the cone part so the rubber gasket wont help me there

Ok fixed for now gonna have to hit the dealership tomorrow and see if there is some kinda plate that goes over that. i cut about a 2" square peice out of an old license plate drilled a hole for the bolt and put a square peice of rubber about the same size inbetween the metal peice and the intake seems to idle fine now no SES light either ?
