i canned the 5.3 idea and made up my mind on a 01-up 6.0 with a very mild cam. what do u guys think the max milage should be for a swap out engine? im thinking 125k to 150k? and im talking about the engine i will be swapping into .and should i install a new timing chain,oil pump and water pump while its out and im swapping the cam and springs anyways?thanks.

 

Well you probably won't get that better of a deal getting an engine with 200k instead of 125, so the less the better, but my engine had 185 on it with no problems other than the water pump and intake gaskets along with the fpr.

 

ive found a couple with less than 150k for a good price
