I think it would "sort of work". Yes, you would probably get power reduction with the system in Valet Mode, but:

1: At light throttle where the air flow is small it would probably work, but at heavy throttle there is so much air flow it might swamp the bypass channel and generate boost anyway, albeit not as much.

2: The system does not adjust the fuel maps in the PCM, so there is a good chance the truck could run very rich, possibly damaging the cats and O2 sensors (if any).

3: Magnacharger warns in their installation manual that the bypass valve is a precision calibrated device, and is not to be messed with. I would be afraid that this add-on might upset the calibration and make the truck run like junque.

and last but not least....

4: It would void the warranty.

However, as always, it is your truck, so feel free to try it if you wish.

i think its a great idea, a little pricey. Ever since i had the blower installed, my truck has NEVER been valet parked. I dont trust valet parkers/drivers, i have seen how some of them drive
