One question as I get ready to install my MagnaFlow cat back on my 02 Suburban:
Can anyone who has installed a Magnaflow cat back on a 2000-2004 Suburban 1500 with the 5.3 tell me if the original one-piece cat back can be taken out in one piece or if it needs to be cut in half???

I really would like to keep it together and not hack it apart if possible.

Any help is appreciated!!

 

You should be able to take it out in one piece. I'd unbolt the stock exhaust from that flange and pull it from its rubber hangers...you will need a lift to get it out I'd say. It should just twist out with some finess
