Default which magnaflow?

I have a 01 5.3L ex cab and I am putting pacesetter LTs with 2.5 tru duals, NO CATS and x-pipe. I was wanting to know where to put the x-pipe and which magnaflow mufflers to go with. I will be running the exhaust all the way past the axle. Which style muffler will work best round? oval? for the best sound not extremely loud.

Just curious, how are you having them attach the duals to your headers since they are slip fit? I wanted to do duals with my pacesetters but from what i understand, welding to them will mess up the coating on them. Whether you weld them solid to your exhaust or just weld flanges on the headers, the coating will be damaged.

Just curious if you have figured out any other way to do it?

I considered buying the O/R y pipe so i could have the slip fit upper part of the y to attach to the headers and then cut the bottom of the y so it can be welded into duals and going that route but hell, it kind of a waste when you can just bolt up the y pipe and go.

I was going to have the exhaust place flare a 3 inch peice to fit over the collector then step it down to 2.5 inch. I guess that will work.
