Default magnaflow 14"

Is there anyone running a single 5x8x14 magnaflow? I'm sick of my flowmaster single in/dual out setup. Switching to a single 3" in/out Magnaflow. Couple people suggested the above, but I wanted to ask the pros.

Also, I'm thinking of a 4"x12" single tip. I know the girth (no pun ) effects the tone, but does the length effect the tone?

BTW is there a break in period, like flowmaster? And when I get a volant intake is that going to liven the exhaust up?

Thanks for the time and help

I have a single 3" in/out but mine is 22" long. That 14" should work well if you like loud. It probably won't be as lound as your flowmaster though.

Are you satisfied with the sound? I'm hoping to get a deep throaty rumble, without the high pop that Flowmasters give.

Did you notice any performance with the magnaflow?

THanks for the time

Yeah.. I am pretty satisfied. The 22" in the quaetest magnaflow. On my 01, had a true dual exhaust with smaller length Magna and loved the sound.
I did noticed a nice gain from my catback.

I am not sure of the size magnaflow I have on mine but it seems to be one of mid sized ones becayse i didn't want the truck too loud since I am not running cats.

When i have zero exhaust leaks it sounds pretty good and the only rasp is due to running no cats.

My buddy BLK6.0LHD just switched form true dual Flows to true duel Magnaflows and the truck is a lot quieter at anything but WOT yet still sounds mean as hell at WOT. It doens't have the high pitched sound of the flows, and sounds deeper with more of a rumble.
