Default Magnaflow

I just noticed that Magnaflow has come out with a new muffler called the Wide-open Performance http://www.magnaflow.com/wideopen.htm Do you guys believe this muffler will sound better than my Flowmasters? Also do mufflers that have a straight through design sound better (deeper, throaty sound) than mufflers that don't have a straight through design?
Anyone have sound clips of their Magnaflow true duels and or mufflers that are a straight through design? Still trying to find a better sound.
If I don't find a great sounding muffler then I'm going back to the Cowl hood, which would you guys choose, sound/performance or looks?

That is the basic Magnaflow muffler. They also make a turbo style muffler but I beleive every one on here that has a Magnaflow has the straight thru type. I posted a link to my exhaust vid in your other thread.

I am tired of my "Flowmaster Sound" also...will a Magnaflow make more power? I'd assume so...

I really didn't notice a big gain from only the cat-back Magnaflow. However, considering the times my truck ran with only the cat back and an intake and HPP3, I think as a "package" it really worked well together. It sounds great, but not too loud, which is just what I was after. If you want LOUD, you better go with true duals because the single cat-back is really not that loud at all.
