Default made the switch

At 1500 miles and 49 engine hrs I switched from Valvoline (Petroleum based) 5w-30 to full synthetic Mobil 1 0w/5w-30 blend (3 quarts of each).

I have been a long time Mobil1 user and couldn't be happier. Since it's been getting down around the freezing point these days I went with a slightly lower viscosity that I made myself.......3 quarts of 0w-30 and 3 quarts of 5w-30. So I'm running about a 2.5w-30.

I just switched to Mobil 1. Better late than never. I figure the longer I can keep this 5.3 going, the more time I have to see what else comes out

Good job. I run either Mobil 1, Redline or Amsoil.

I tried to use Mobil1 for cooking...now my wife won't let me in the kitchen any more except to get a beer from the fridge! Life is good.

Default Mobil1 For A Cleaner Top End?

I am hearing if one runs a good synthetic oil, the carbon build associated with the recirculated crank case gasses greatly reduces also.
