AS&M headers vs. Thorley's
#12
AZSM all the way fit and finish are nice.Plus they come coated.but if the thorleys are easier to install, and are lt .Then go with them cause mine were a pain in the *** to install. The low end torqe is unreal over stock.

I just put on the Thorley's (sorry no camera) this week. Started at 11 am and finished by 3pm. Everything was done except welding the flange to the Y-pipe. Took that to Midas and $74.58 later is was finished. While doing the headers, I also changed the spark plugs. Fit and finish is excellent, the only clearance problem is one I created. On the Yukon, there is an aluminum shield by the AC condenser and I bent it down trying to get the spark plug boot out. It rattled under acceleration, so I bent it back and no problems since. The main reason I got the Thorley's were price and low end torque. I pull an enclosed 24 ft car trailer about 20 times a year and that is where the Thorlely's shine. This weekend will be the first trip with the trailer, so then I will have a better measure on performance. SOP is excellent.

there is one pic of them on summitracing.com the part number with the picture on it DTE-310Y, they look very very nice and they are definitely long tubes. it dosn't come with a Y pipe though, got to use your stock one.
