LS7 maf on a 2010 5.3 silverado?
I've been researching some cheap mods for my 2010 Silverado with the flex fuel 5.3L v8. I came across a thread where someone was talking about the ls7 MAf making a big difference in the way their truck ran. Is there any thruth to it? How could I go about installing one on my truck. I already have a MIT. And k&n drop in with the stock box and hptuners so I could tune the MAF based off the stft's.

In for the info. I know you need to get a bung to accept the card style MAF.
Part info from this thread Bung: PN 19166574 and it runs $9.27 LS7 MAF PN: 15865791 and its $55.52 |
So the ls7 maf wont fit into the 2010 card maf slot? I was kinda hoping it would. But if i add the bung, how would I plug the factory hole? Or could I make it fit the factory hole?

I dont think it would fit based on the pix of the mafs

You will need a tuner that knows how to tune for different MAFs. No way will it run right without a proper tune.

you have the same style maf as an ls7.

09 and older gmt's had an maf housing, not a slide in card style.

I know, but since mine is a '10, I already have a card style maf. I was just wondering how hard it would be to adapt the ls7 maf into the stock hole...
