Default LS7 Lifters

2 yrs ago now I installed a com HR 275 cam , patriot gold 650's and LS7 lifters all NIB and a reprogramed comp. Since then Ive had to feather the throttle to keep it running on cold starts after about 20 seconds it would just smooth it self out and Idle nice. Check lots of stuff programing. fuel pres, vacume leaks, diffrent TB. I have crane gold adjustable rockers so I went through them to their directions a couple of times. nothing changed. So on the long weekend I pulled the front of the engine off and checked the timing again it was right on. So I pulled the pushrods out that came with the rockers and stuck the stock ones in. And looked at an old cam and figured out how to adj. the rockers on the BC of the cam. so I did that and reached in the window and it fired right up. and probably another dozen times or more after that. So after it sat about 4 hours I was back where I start with having to feather the throttle. So I think I have a bunch of bad lifters because when I was setting them I noticed that some of them I could have adjusted them after zero backlash with my fingers if the adj. nut stuck up far enough and others would compress the valve and then bleed off in a few min. I soaked the lifters in oil over nite before install also. Can the LS7 lifters not take the heavy springs and bigger cams. Anybody else have trouble like this. Sorry for long post I had to vent.

Sounds like you have more of a tuning concern than a lifter problem to me...are the lifters noisy?

Tried a complete different tuned computer. Same thing. Lifters are a little noisy for about 20 sec. but not real bad.
